B&Q Opens New Store In Livingston
- B&Q Livingston is the first of B&Q's new smaller stores to open in Scotland
- New store will make it quicker and easier than ever for Livingston locals to access their home improvement essentials
- As well as a wide range of home improvement products in store, customers will have access to the full range of products for home delivery and Click and Collect
B&Q, the UK’s leading home improvement retailer, has today opened a new store in Livingston – the first of its kind in Scotland.

The new store was declared officially open with a formal ribbon cutting ceremony by Hannah Bardell, MP for Livingston, and Angela Constance, MSP for Almond Valley.
Located in Almondvale Retail Park, B&Q’s latest smaller store will make it quicker and easier than ever for Livingston customers to access the latest home improvement essentials and promotional products.
The new store is the first smaller format B&Q to open in Scotland and will offer a wide range of DIY and home improvement products, including paint and paint mixing, decorating tools, power tools, décor and lighting, houseplants, hardware and electrical and plumbing products, as well as access to the full B&Q range of over 30,000 products to order for home delivery or Click and Collect.
For trade customers, the store also includes a separate TradePoint area and boasts a dedicated load and go area to support bulk orders.
Cathy Stack, B&Q Livingston Store Manager, said: “My team and I are looking forward to welcoming local residents into our new store. Whether its last-minute DIY essentials or an exciting home improvement project, we look forward to offering convenient access to a wide range of products and we are ready to give advice to any customers that need it.
I’m also very pleased to say that the opening of our new Livingston store has created 50 jobs in the local area.”
Among the new team at B&Q Livingston, the latest store welcomes back Dorothy Gillespie, aged 84, who previously worked at the previous B&Q Livingston store for 11 years.

B&Q is following Scottish government guidelines, with customers expected to wear face coverings as well as maintain social distancing measures to help customers shop safely.
The new store is open 7 days a week: Monday-Friday 7am-8pm, and on Sunday 9am-6pm.
