Boxing Day shoppers stay inside
Springboard has revealed that bricks and mortar stores saw 6% fewer shoppers than last year on Boxing Day morning, as more and more consumers opted to shop from home.
Online purchases are understood to have increased by 11.5% percent year-on-year, according to Springboard data.
The retail intelligence company also noted a 16.6% decline in shopping centre visits on the same day.
