Bathroom Takeaway appoints new supply chain head

Neil Butterwick

Having managed stock environments for 27 years, for Global and National household brands such as Ryman Stationery, PUKKA Pads and Focus DIY, Neil Butterwick is pouring his retail knowledge into the bathroom sector and heading up Bathroom Takeaway’s sourcing and purchasing division both for the trade and consumer arms across the UK and Europe.

As Head of Supply Chain and Product Management, Neil will also be managing the roll out of all 14 Bathroom Takeaway stores which are set to be strategically placed throughout the UK. The first of the “takeaways” is their flagship store on Regent Road in Salford which has exceeded all sales targets and received fantastic customer feedback.

The second Takeaway opens in Birmingham this coming March  with further stores opening in 2018.

Head of Supply Chain and Product Management at Bathroom Takeaway Neil said: “To be part of a business that hit the ground running with a 10,500 pallet capacity Distribution Centre on day one is a really an exciting opportunity. No day is ever the same and the talented team are all so committed and enthusiastic that it really does make it a pleasure to come to work. As a business we have ambitious growth strategies in place for Bathroom Takeaway and I’m looking forward to implementing them.”

Neil is originally from the beautiful market town of Stockton on Tees but for the past ten years has been based in the North West and Derbyshire. When he’s not prioritising product changes and sourcing the latest shower enclosure lines, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching football and windsurfing in the UK and Greece.

Julian Smith, Managing Director of Bathroom Takeaway said: “Neil has been instrumental in making our Supply Chain Management function so seamless and strong and we’re very fortunate to have him as senior member of our team. We have some very exciting plans for 2018 and I’m sure Neil and his team will rise to the challenges as we enter the next stage of our growth.”

Bathroom Takeaway Limited has been trading since November 2014 and already has offices in the UK, France, Italy and Germany, a flagship retail store on Regent Road in Salford, a 10,500-pallet capacity Distribution Centre in Trafford and a head count that has more than quadrupled in size from just 2 to 70 full time employees.
