Bald Builders Are Good Sports With FrogTape

SamVBrad The Frogtape Games

Sporting fever has swept the world this Summer and the Bald Builders have joined in the fun, with their own FrogTape Games on Fix Radio.

Brad and Sam - the popular building professionals and Fix Radio presenters - set up a series of physical challenges using the different versions of FrogTape as props and tools.

Elite events included the FrogTape and Spoon Race which Brad won with his slow and steady approach (Sam fell over), the FrogTape Discus, in which Sam beat Brad’s 90 ft effort with a 93 ft throw, and the FrogTape Hurdles, during which both athletes leapt over a track of FrogTape hurdles: Sam winning.

The event was part of an overall summer promotion Shurtape created in partnership with Fix Radio, in which listeners and followers of the Bald Builders could vote for who they thought would win – Brad or Sam? - and be in with a chance of winning a PS5 and a 65” 4k Smart TV, plus £1k in cash.

Says overall victor Sam: “FrogTape is a toolbox essential for us – we always have it in our kit for decorating and general masking and fixing purposes. Its round packaging inspired our discus event and the whole thing went from there. A great challenge and let’s face it, one I was always going to win.”

Jason Burns, MD of Shurtape, says: “We’ve held a number of sporting events with the Bald Builders now - last year’s FrogTape Wimbledon challenge was hugely successful - and we were delighted to support them again in their athletic endeavours! It’s always great to work with them and Fix Radio, creating imaginative and fun content that works across a number of channels and reminds the target audience of the strength and adaptability of our products.

“We’re already planning our next events – watch this space!”
