Argos to Lose Two Key Directors
Retail Week has reported that Argos is to lose its marketing and digital directors by the end of the summer.
Mark Steel, digital director, joined Argos in 1996 and Gary Kibble, marketing director, joined in 2017. Both are expected to leave the business in August.
Sainsbury's is looking to better integrate Argos into the business and is understood to be making plans to streamline commercial operations teams at its London head office.
A new digital director will replace Mark Steel and Gary Kibble's role will disappear, replaced by the new position of chief marketing officer for Sainsbury's Group, to be held by Mark Given.
