Argos becomes first retailer to offer same day delivery across the UK

Leading retailer Argos has today announced it is revolutionising online shopping with the national roll out of its unique Fast Track Delivery and Fast Track Collection services, getting products into customers’ hands faster than ever before.

For the first time, customers across the UK will benefit from same-day home delivery on up to 20,000 products from within the local area. Customers will be able to order by 6pm and get an item delivered by 10pm the same day for just £3.95. There are four home delivery slots available seven days a week: 7-10am, 10am-1pm, 2-6pm and 7-10pm. Orders placed before midnight will be delivered between 7am and 10am, or 10am and 1pm the following day.

The new ground breaking service has led to the creation of 3,300 jobs for delivery drivers with a focus on customer service at the door. In filling the roles, Argos deliberately sought people who love being out and about in the local community and include former engineers, DJ’s, mums and ex-service personnel. 

Argos customers who have pre-paid online can also take advantage of free pick up in over 800 stores in as little as 60 seconds with the new national fast Track Collection service.

The unique Argos logistics system means that no other retailer can offer the breadth of products or speed of receipt.

The announcement is a key milestone in the Argos transformation which began with the launch of Argos digital stores, combining online shopping with a physical shop.

* Game changing milestone comes 15 years after the retailer became the first in the UK to offer an online click and collect option
