2024 Retail Job Losses And Store Closures

The Centre for Retail Research has published data pertaining to retail job losses and store closures from January to the end of April, 2024.

The update follows the organisation's 2023 summary which revealed that 10,494 stores have closed and 119,405 retail jobs were lost in 2023.

According to the data, 804 stores have closed and 16,565 retail jobs were lost during January, February, March and April 2024.

All data tables are from the Centre for Retail Research.
