2023 Retail Job Losses And Store Closures

The Centre for Retail Research has published data pertaining to retail job losses and store closures for the 1st January to 30th September 2023.

The update follows the organisation's August 2023 update and the 2022 summary, published in January 2022, which revealed that 2022 retail job losses reached 151,474, with store closures of 17,145.

According to the data, 4,124 stores have closed and 56,436 retail jobs have been lost so far this year.

All data tables are from the Centre for Retail Research.
