Bigger sheds? Greener grass? B&Q is on a mission to find out what people want in their "Gnomifesto" - helping get the rights and interests of gardeners represented.

The DIY chain hosted a mini-election in their Sutton store and will now go on a national tour, to help the public make a decision on who to lead their garden. B&Q said: "Over the next week, with the help of our gnome leaders, we will be revealing the Gnomifesto.

"We expect issues like barbecues every night of the week and protection against killer hornets to be high on the agenda of Britain’s army of gardeners."

The gnome party leaders will now embark on the B&Q battle bus, making an appearance at Westminster, to further their fight for the garden fences of Britain.
