Wren's US Expansion Continues

Wren Kitchens is continuing its US expansion, signing for two new showrooms in Connecticut and New York.

In February of this year, Wren announced its intention to expand into the US, advising of its intention to open a US manufacturing facility in Northeast Pennsylvania, with future plans of developing its headquarters in the state too. The 252,000 sq. ft. site in Hanover Industrial Estates, Hanover Township, will encompass state-of-the-art machinery and assembling facilities.

The first showroom is due to open in Milford, Connecticut, in November this year. The former Babies “R” Us site on Boston Post Road, will be radically transformed to the highest standards with over 100 kitchen displays, and at 31,465 sq. ft. it will be crowned the largest kitchen showroom in America.

Real estate advisory firm Newmark Knight Frank (NFK) has been supporting Wren's stateside move and has confirmed that the brand is to open two more showrooms - one off the Berlin Turnpike in Newington, Connecticut and another off the Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown, New York.  It is anticipated that both stores will open early in 2021, if not before the end of 2020.

NKF’s Adam Weinblatt and Marc Frankel represented Wren for both store lease transactions.

Mr Frankel said: “There is a need for retailers like Wren Kitchens here in the US, as their level of quality and workmanship is widely recognized as unparalleled,”

Mr Weinblatt added, “Using our data analysis, we were able to identify areas where the brand would be the most successful and provide them with informed guidance on locations that made the most sense for them to grow their business stateside.”
