Wren Opens 105th Kitchen Showroom
Wren Kitchens, the fastest growing retailer on UK high streets as recognised by The Telegraph, has expanded its presence across the country with the opening of its 105th showroom at Durham City Retail Park.
The former B&M unit has been completely transformed over a three-month period and has created 21 new jobs in the community including kitchen designers, managers and home surveyors.
At 15,000 sq ft, it’s the biggest kitchen showroom in the North East with 55 unique displays including Wren’s brand-new trend setting Infinity collection colours in Navy, Sage, Ascot Blue and Scandi Oak.
The inspirational showroom has two virtual reality studios where customers can explore a full-sized model of their kitchen in 3D, allowing them to walk around, interact with appliances and open and close drawers and storage solutions.
Anthony Henderson, Wren Kitchens Durham Showroom Manager, said: “We’re thrilled to be officially part of the Durham community, and we’ve been preparing for this special opening for several months.
“It’s been a real team effort and we’ve pulled together to get this showroom looking amazing ready for customers to walk through the doors and enjoy a relaxed, inspirational kitchen design experience.”
Customers can explore a host of bespoke items and clever storage solutions such as dedicated wine storage, magic corners, pull-out storage towers, walk-in pantries and spice racks, perfect for the smallest of spaces or to create a chef’s haven.
There is also an interactive appliance centre which lets customers get hands on with different appliance features and technology such as self-cleaning ovens, voice-controlled lighting and hobs with built in extraction.
There are 16 open plan design suites where home renovators work with their designer and bring their dream kitchen to life, in a relaxed environment whilst viewing both 3D and 2D images of their kitchen on a 55” screen. Using Wren Kitchens’ award-winning 3D Connect, it allows customers to move around and explore their kitchen whilst it is being designed using a controller to adjust requirements in real time.
In just a little over 10 years the UK’s largest kitchen retailer has gone from strength-to-strength by opening 104 showrooms across the UK, as well as launching its first and the biggest kitchen showroom in the USA last October in Milford, Connecticut.
Wren offers complete kitchens including worktops and appliances from as little as £2,500, but also design kitchens for some of the UK’s biggest celebrities – so they really do have a dream kitchen for everyone!
Wren currently has showrooms nearby in Sunderland, Stockton and Gateshead.
