Wren Looking to Recruit Bathstore Employees
Wren Kitchens is hosting recruitment events for Bathstore employees affected by the announcement that the business has fallen into administration.
According to a statement issued by Wren, two recruitment events have already taken place and a third is scheduled at Wren's Solihull showroom on Wednesday 3rd July. The retailer is looking for kitchen designers, information advisors and area general managers.
A spokesperson for Wren Kitchens said: “Wren Kitchens is always on the lookout for talent, especially skilled designers and those with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
“Those who face losing their jobs at Bathstore have transferrable attributes that we’re looking for, including first-class customer service and creative designer skills to help our customers’ dream kitchens come to life.
“Wren is a family-run, passionate business that’s committed to developing and nurturing talent and we’re looking for new recruits to join the Wren family to help shape our exciting journey and lead the way in the kitchen retail industry.”
Wren advised it is undergoing an “extensive recruitment programme” and is looking to take on 600 kitchen designers over the next year. Twelve new Wren showrooms are expected to open this year, with the following already confirmed: Sunderland, Blackburn, Shrewsbury, Acton, Stockton, Enfield, Harrogate, Edinburgh, Wolverhampton, Edmonton and Bradford.
B&Q Homefit staff were extended the same opportunity by Wren following the announcement in June 2018 that B&Q was closing its kitchen and bathroom installation service.
Earlier this month, Wren announced a £120 million expansion plan at its Barton-Upon-Humber headquarters. The plan will see the creation of around 1,200 jobs and a new 910,000 sq ft factory.
