Today [24th January], the Lord Mayor of Bradford officially cuts the ribbon to open a Wren Kitchens showroom in the city at Forster Square Retail Park.

Wren is a Yorkshire and Lincolnshire based company and this recent development marks a milestone as it celebrates its 90th opening.

The former Mothercare store is completely unrecognisable after a top spec, three-month fit out. It now incorporates over 40 kitchen displays, 3D virtual reality, children play zones, interactive appliance centre and inspirational displays of handles, worktops, sinks, taps and storage solutions.

The UK’s number one kitchen retailer also donates £500 to Lord Mayor Doreen Lee’s charity – Child Bereavement UK.

“I wish Wren Kitchens every success here in Bradford,” said Lord Mayor Doreen Lee.

“It’s fantastic to see a high-profile company like Wren choosing to locate in our city and the retail park is very popular, so I have no doubt they will be very busy.

“During my tour I was highly impressed with the fantastic choice of kitchens as well as the technology incorporated such as virtual reality to enhance the customer’s experience.”

The 14,103 sq. ft. showroom has created 19 local jobs including kitchen designers, surveyors and retail managers, to ensure a first-class customer experience.

“The showroom looks incredible, and it’s fantastic to see that our customers have such a positive reaction as they walk through the doors for the first time,” said Gary Baker, Wren Kitchens Bradford Showroom Manager.

“After months of planning and development, we’ve been eager to welcome our first customers and now we’re looking forward to inspiring and offering expertise to those who are planning their dream kitchen in the region.”

Wren Kitchens Designer Basim Zahoor, is a former lawyer and now works at the Bradford showroom.

“There is a lot of potential for growth here at Wren and I’m looking forward to succeeding in the company,” said Basim from Bradford.

“It’s a completely different role but I’ve had the best possible training to immerse myself into the kitchen retail world and my attributes and personality are key to my success here.

“I was completely blown away when I walked in the new showroom, I’ve watched it grow and develop and the finished look gives me a great sense of pride being part of such a forward-thinking business.”

The showroom is open Monday to Fridays 9am to 8pm, Saturdays 9am to 6pm and Sundays 10:30am to 5pm.
