Wren Kitchens Creates 100+ Apprenticeship Opportunities

Wren Kitchens NAW22

During National Apprenticeship Week, Wren Kitchens scales up its apprenticeship programme to offer new and exciting opportunities in several areas of the business located in the Humber and around the UK.

As voted the best place to work by Indeed.com for two years running, the UK’s largest independent kitchen specialist is continuing to grow at an unprecedent rate with 8,000 team members under its wings. To support its growth, Wren is currently seeking over 100 enthusiastic apprentices to join the Wren family by the end of 2022.

With no experience required in the field, there are brand-new 2022 apprenticeship opportunities in customer services, catering, and HR. As well as current vacancies in IT, finance, engineering and manufacturing.

Once Wren’s apprentices pass, they are guaranteed a permanent position at the end of the programme which entails a mix of on-the-job training alongside specialist training partners, and a variety of interactive training courses. They receive a competitive wage above the government’s standard apprenticeship salary.

Victoria Fairbairn, Wren Kitchens People and Performance Director, said: “Our apprentices are truly joining Wren at the most exciting time in our history, as we continue to rapidly expand in the UK by doubling our capacity with the new factory, and across the Atlantic in America as we open several new showrooms across the Northeast.

“We believe in growing our Wren family in-house, as we create an amazing pool of talent that can grow with us as we continue on our hugely successful journey.”

The new state-of-the-art kitchen manufacturing facility in Barton-upon-Humber, North Lincolnshire, is located next to Wren’s headquarters called The Nest. Opening this year, the 1.2 million sq.ft. site has created 1,200 new jobs in manufacturing, transport, engineering and head office support roles such as HR and recruitment.

Jesse Grant, Wren Kitchens Process Administration Junior Apprentice, said: “I feel like I’ve come a long way in such a short space of time thanks to everyone’s support. I’m excited to see where my future takes me here at Wren, as there are so many exciting opportunities to progress and make a difference.”

Kerry Townend, Wren Kitchens Payroll Apprentice, added:I’ve loved every minute of it – the people I work with have made me feel very welcome and part of the team. The apprenticeship programme is a fantastic way to earn while you learn and gain expertise in an area of the business.”
