Wren Kitchens, the fastest growing retailer on UK high streets as recognised by The Telegraph, has expanded its presence across the country with the opening of its 100th UK showroom in Greenwich, London at Brocklebank Retail Park.

In celebration of Wren Kitchens 100th UK showroom, and to give something back to the local community, Wren Kitchens and one of its appliance partners Neff, donated £10,000 worth of food parcels to The Greenwich Foodbank to offer emergency food and essential items to those in need.

Each parcel contains £100 worth of food and essential items. The parcels were delivered by the Wren Kitchens Greenwich team and Neff to the Charlton Athletic Community Trust.

Greenwich Showroom Manager, Tony Blanche, said: “Christmas is the time for giving, so we decided to give something back to the community and we hope that it makes a difference to those locked in poverty.

“It’s a real privilege opening the doors to our 100th UK location here in Greenwich. It’s been a huge team effort from start to finish and we’d like to thank everyone involved for making it happen.”

Charlie East, Health Improvement Manager at Charlton Athletic Community Trust, supported with the distribution of the parcels. He said: “We are so thankful for the support we have received from Wren Kitchens and Neff and it’s fantastic to see one of our local businesses giving something back.

“These hampers will go a long way for families that really need the support during these tough times. Those that have received them so far have been nothing but very grateful. We look forward to developing an even stronger relationship with Wren Kitchens in the future.”

The former Mothercare unit has been completely transformed over a three-month period and has created 23 new jobs in the local area including kitchen designers, managers and surveyors.

At 20,000 sq ft, it’s the biggest kitchen showroom in London with 73 unique displays. The newly built mezzanine features a unique design centre featuring two virtual reality studios where customers can explore a full-sized model of their kitchen in 3D, allowing them to fully understand and walk around the layout of their new kitchen, as well as the ability to interact with appliances, drawers and storage solutions.

Customers can explore a host of bespoke items and clever storage solutions such as dedicated wine cellars, magic corners, pull out towers and units, walk-in pantries and spice racks, perfect for the smallest of spaces or to create a chef’s haven.

Another Wren exclusive is the interactive appliance centre which lets customers get hands on with different appliance features and technology such as self-cleaning ovens, voice-controlled lighting and hobs with built in extraction.

There are 15 open plan design suites where customers work with their designer and bring their dream kitchen to life, in a relaxed environment whilst viewing both 3D and 2D images and plans of their kitchen on a 55” screen.

Using Wren Kitchens’ award-winning 3D Connect, it allows customers to move around and explore their kitchen whilst it is being designed using a controller to adjust requirements in real time.

In just a little over 10 years the UK’s largest kitchen retailer has gone from strength-to-strength by opening 100 showrooms across the UK, as well as launching its first and the biggest kitchen showroom in the U.S. last month in Milford, Connecticut.

Wren currently has nine other showrooms in the London area including Enfield, Orpington, Hayes and Romford.
