Wren Kitchens Cardiff Showroom Reopens After £1m Transformation
The UK’s number one kitchen retailer Wren Kitchens invests over £1 million in completely transforming its Cardiff showroom with 74 new kitchen displays and virtual reality.
On the opening day the 26,701 sq. ft. showroom located on Cardiff Gate Retail Park, saw The Lord Mayor of Cardiff Cllr Rod McKerlich, and Lady Mayoress Sue McKerlich, officially cut the ribbon. The Cardiff Foodbank that delivers emergency food parcels to people in need in local area also received a £500 donation from the retailer.
It’s created a further seven new local jobs, bringing the total to 38-strong team members including kitchen designers, surveyors and management.
The six-month long refurbishment works included the complete reconfiguration of the mezzanine floor with comfortable open-plan design suites, virtual reality to bring dream kitchens to life and a brand-new concept - Apollo Space - which showcases the choice of infinite storage solutions in a singular display.
Camille Dunn, Wren Kitchens Cardiff Showroom Manager, said: “It’s fantastic to officially reopen our showroom with a brand-new look, and we can now offer our customers an exciting and inspirational state-of-the-art experience when redesigning their kitchen.
“Our showroom looks absolutely outstanding after months of transforming it to the highest standards, including virtual reality, a huge appliance centre, a tap lab and a new spatial awareness display to help customers visualise their new kitchen layout.”
The interactive spatial awareness display is new to Wren, and customers can map out their dream kitchen by using large boxes that represent units giving them a real feel of what layout could work for them.
Customers can explore a host of kitchen displays including minimal, dramatic, classic and industrial styles as well as utilities, boot rooms and wine cellars. They can also see clever storage solutions such as magic corners, pull-out towers, walk in pantries and spice racks, perfect for the smallest or biggest of spaces.
There’s also an array of accessory displays including TekBrick wall coverings, a naturally inspired flooring range, as well as Wren’s brand new bespoke Xena Quartz and Luxury Laminate dining tables.
To cater for families, there’s a brand-new spacious baby changing area and a nursing room, as well as six children’s play areas.
Wren offers complete kitchens including worktops and appliances from as little as £2,500, but also design kitchens for some of the UK’s biggest celebrities such as Rylan Clark, Megan McKenna and Lucy Watson.
The Wren Kitchens Cardiff showroom is open Monday to Fridays 9am-8pm, Saturdays 9am-6pm and Sundays 10.30am-5pm.
