Wilko to Relocate in Ashton-Under-Lyne

WILKO, one of Britain’s best loved value home and garden retailers, has signed a lease for a new store at Tameside One.

The new 19,000 Sq ft store is due to open in July 2019, with the existing wilko store at Ashton-under-Lyne Arcade Shopping Centre closing its doors on 22^nd June.

Team members from the existing store will be joining the new wilko, which is expected to generate fifteen new jobs within the local area.

Craig McGregor, Head of Retail said: “We are delighted to have signed the lease at Tameside One and can’t wait to open our doors in July.

“We’ve loved serving hard-working families in Ashton-under-Lyne and are looking forward to welcoming them to our brand-new store.

“The new store is in a fantastic location with great transport links, and we’re sure it will become the go-to place for locals looking to stock up on products for their homes and gardens for years to come.”
