Wilko to open stores in Eastbourne, Llanelli and Truro
Value retailer, Wilko, is to open three new stores in the coming months.
Eastbourne
Wilko will open on the former Brantano site in Eastbourne's Crumbles Retail Park on 12th April.
Wilko Retail Director Anthony Houghton said, “Work is currently underway on our new Wilko store in Eastbourne, which is due to open in April.
“The 8,100 sq ft store will be an exciting addition to the local retail offering and we’re looking forward to introducing customers to our range of quality products at everyday low prices.”
Llanelli
A new, 13,300 sq ft Wilko store will open at Llanelli's Parc Trostre Retail Park on 19th April.
Over 70 jobs have been created at the new branch, which is the second in the town.
Anthony Houghton said: "We know via our highly successful Llanelli store that this area is a brilliant fit for Wilko, so we're delighted to have expanded our presence here and signed the lease for a store at Parc Trostre.
"The retail park attracts a diverse range of shoppers, including new homeowners and young families, and I'm confident we'll reflect this with our product range and store layout."
Truro
The new 16,500 sq ft Truro store is to open within the town's former BHS building on 17th May.
It will be Wilko's 404th store and will employ around 50 staff.
Anthony Houghton, said: "Truro has a strong retail offering, but we've spotted a gap in the market for our range of great quality products at everyday low prices from Wilko.
"Boscawen Street attracts a diverse range of shoppers, including new homeowners and young families, and I'm confident we'll reflect this with our product range and store layout.
"We can't wait to open in Truro - the team is working incredibly hard to have the store looking great for open day and we're excited to embed ourselves into the community."
