Wilko to open new store in Birmingham

It's been announced this week that Wilko will be the latest new store to open at The Fort Shopping Park in Birmingham. The home and garden retailer, whose head office is in Worksop will open their doors on 14th January on the site previously occupied by Mothercare. 

Branch manager of Wilko Carole Ballinger, said this week: “The Fort is a popular shopping destination with a strong retail offering. We’re excited to open the new store in January and generate more than 60 jobs for people in the local area. We’re confident that our quality products at everyday low prices will become an essential part of people’s weekly shopping mix.”

There are currently 31 retail stores at The Fort, including six restaurants and coffee bars and a children’s play area.
