ONE of Britain’s best loved value home and garden retailers, wilko, will open the doors to its new store at The Oaks Shopping Centre, Acton on Wednesday 7 August at 9am.

To mark the special occasion, Joe Swan, a representative from the Alzheimer’s Society will lead a ceremonial ribbon cutting on behalf of the wilko Charity Partnership, along with wilko Head of Retail, Craig McGregor and wilko Acton Store Manager, Darljit Dhariwal.

The launch day activity will include:

  • Goody bags containing a notebook and a reusable stainless steel water bottle
  • Complimentary cupcakes for customers
  • Speed sketcher in store

The wilko Acton Store Manager said: “The team is busy preparing the final touches to the store ahead of the official opening on 7 August at 9am.

“We currently have stores in Kensington, Wimbledon, Hammersmith and Putney and we are very excited to welcome customers to our new store in Acton. We know shoppers will be impressed by the quality and value we have to offer, and it’s the perfect time to come and browse our spring collections.

“We’ve got lots of exciting things planned for the launch day including goody bags for the first 100 customers through the door, so we hope everyone can come and join us to celebrate wilko’s new home at The Oaks Shopping Centre”.

Founded in 1930 as Wilkinson Stores by J K Wilkinson, wilko is one of the UK’s largest and best-loved retailers.
