Wickes prepares to open Wisbech store

Wickes Building Supplies are now close to opening their brand new 25,000 sq ft store in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire creating 40 jobs for the local area.

The second largest home improvement retailer in the UK, with over 220 stores is planning to open their new store on 7th February 2018. This store has been a long time coming, after they first proposed opening a branch between Peterborough and King's Lynn back as far back as 2008. 

With 20,000q ft of internal sales, a 5,000q ft mezzanine for their Kitchen & Bathroom ranges and a 5,000q ft outdoor area for building and garden projects, the store provides an interesting smaller blueprint for all future Home Improvement stores.

Once open, the store will have a 20,000 sq ft sales area with 5,000 sq.ft mezzanine and 5,000 sq.ft outdoor project centre.
