Wickes Opens New Chelmsford Store

Wickes Chelmsford opening

Home improvement retailer Wickes has opened a new store in Chelmsford as part of the ongoing investment into its store estate. Located at Baynes Place, Waterhouse Lane, the store marks Wickes’ return to Chelmsford, expanding upon the existing successful Essex stores in Dagenham, Maldon and Braintree.

The Chelmsford store was officially opened by the deputy mayor, Jude Deakin, on the 28th July and will be open Monday to Friday 7am - 8pm, Saturday 7am - 7pm and Sunday 10am – 4pm. The new store features a contemporary kitchen and bathroom showroom to help customers plan their dream home, supported by professional design consultants offering expert advice, customers can access a free design service, and Wickes’ trusted installation service.

Lee Byrne, Store Manager, Chelmsford says: “We’re delighted to be opening a new store in Chelmsford and expanding on our existing branches in Essex. We will offer the residents of Chelmsford and the surrounding areas a wide range of home improvement products, services, and expert advice and we look forward to welcoming customers over the coming months and years ahead.

We look forward to supporting our local community as part of the Wickes Community Programme. Any local charities or organisations should pop in to see us to apply for product donations. We have already supported a local animal shelter, Fripps Farm, building a deer enclosure and we will be working with local primary schools to build bug hotels.”

To celebrate the opening, the store is offering all customers 15% off from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th August, alongside a Facebook competition, launching on 4th August, where customers will have a chance to win a trolley worth up to £2,000, to complete a project in the local community.
