New, Face-to-Face Virtual Design Service Enables Customers to Create Their Dream Kitchen Or Bathroom Without Leaving The House

Home improvement retailer, Wickes, has announced the launch of a brand-new, Virtual Design service, so even during lockdown, customers no longer have to wait to plan their dream kitchen or bathroom.

The new service, which is also free, will be included as part of Wickes’ offering moving forward and is a perfect option during lockdown, or as a new solution for those who are unable to access their local store with ease.

As shoppers adapt to the new normal, customers will be able to request their appointment from the comfort of their home, via the Wickes website, or via phone. Once confirmed, a local Design Consultant will be on hand every step of the way, from arranging the virtual, face-to-face session, to providing inspiration, advice and guiding through the design process.

Samples can also be requested to allow customers to get the look and feel, and during the virtual call, the design consultant will be able to provide a full walk through of the Showroom to bring the offering to life. Leading 3D software will also be used to showcase a customer’s bespoke design, with screen share functionality allowing both the customer and the design consultant to make any changes together.

Mandy Minichiello, Head of Marketing for Showroom, comments: “We’re really excited to launch our first ever virtual service for kitchen and bathroom design appointments. We’ve responded to how customers are interacting with brands and how their behavior has changed in recent months. We know that people still want to transform or improve their homes, even at this time, so this new service will provide choice to those who want to start the process from the comfort of their own home.”

Information on how the service works can be found here on the brand’s virtual design page, this includes a video with their Design Consultants describing the process, together with showing customers where to go to book their appointment
