Wickes for business to support Bloodwise Charity

Bloodwise Charity

Wickes for Business is working closely with leading employee benefits provider Reward Gateway to raise funds for Bloodwise.

Bloodwise is the UK’s biggest blood cancer charity and has been a charity partner with Wickes for the last nine years.

As a special promotion – starting on the 22nd September 2015 – Wickes for Business will donate 2 pence for every £1 spent or uploaded on gift cards by staff of Reward Gateway customers.

This will help Bloodwise, which was previously known as Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, to continue its research into cures for blood disorders and cancers.

Natalie Vescia, B2B Marketing & Client Relationship Manager at Wickes said:

It’s incredibly important to offer regular and ongoing support to charities such as Bloodwise who work so tirelessly in helping those in need.

“We wanted to give our business customers the opportunity to work with us to support Bloodwise when Wickes will be raising money in store. We’re delighted that Reward Gateway and its customers are working with us to help this vital charity effort.”

Rowan Elizabeth Parkes, Corporate Partnerships Manager from Bloodwise, commented:

Since 2006 Wickes customers, suppliers and staff have raised over £4 million to help beat blood cancer, finding better, kinder treatments and improving the lives of the 230,000 people living with blood cancer in the UK. We’re filled with pride, but we still have a long way to go.

“Like all charities we need regular donations to help support those that have been affected by blood cancer.”
Molly Barton, Retail Partnerships Manager added: “It is fantastic to be involved in this initiative with Wickes. It is a totally new avenue for us and a really interesting use of our SmartHub® platform. We hope our members take the opportunity to load their cards this week and look forward to seeing the results!
