Wickes Confirms Planned Closure Of Chichester Store

Wickes has confirmed its intention to close its Chichester store, located on Barnfield Drive in the town.

The store has been open for nearly five years, having opened on Friday 22nd July, 2016. 

Local press reported that Wickes said it is working closely with staff to 'find alternative roles' within the business and is doing 'everything we can' to support colleagues.

A Wickes spokesperson said: "We can confirm that our Chichester store is to close.

"With three other Wickes stores located at Bognor Regis, Havant and Littlehampton, together with our online offering, Wickes customers will continue to be well served in the local area."

Wickes recently announced a trading update, advising that its performance was ahead of expectations; its first since the business was de-merged from Travis Perkins and listed on the London Stock Exchange on April 28, 2021.
