Wickes Appoints Mohamed El Fanichi As Chief Information Technology Officer
Wickes announces that it has appointed Mohamed El Fanichi as CITO, who will join the company on 1st September. This is a newly created role, following the demerger of Wickes from Travis Perkins in April 2021. Mohamed will report directly to CEO, David Wood and be a member of the Wickes Executive Committee.
Mohamed joins from The Landmark Group UAE, where he has been CIO since March 2017.
Prior to that Mohamed held a number of technology and business systems leadership roles for the Kingfisher Group where he worked from 2009 until 2017.
Mohamed brings a wealth of international commercial and operations expertise in the retail sector, with a strong track record of leading major IT strategic and transformational projects that deliver business growth in the digital era.
David Wood, CEO comments on the new appointment: “Wickes has recently embarked on its journey as a standalone business and I’m delighted that Mohamed is joining us at this very exciting time.
