Wickes And Norfolk Leisure Donate Festive Christmas Trees
- Products donated as part of the Wickes Community Programme
Wickes and Norfolk Leisure joined forces this Christmas to bring festive cheer to community spaces across the UK by donating 15 6.5ft faux Christmas trees. The initiative aims to bring joy to locations that serve as vital hubs for people in need, ensuring that everyone can experience the magic of Christmas.
From homeless charities, hospices, hospitals, food banks, and more, the donations are helping to create a festive atmosphere in places that need it most. The chosen spaces often work tirelessly to provide support and comfort to those facing challenges, so these trees aim to give a little bit of joy for what can be a hard time of year for some people.
Wickes is also donating £3,000 worth of products to support these community initiatives, with £200 allocated to each project to help improve their spaces. One of the spaces, Hospice Sobwell House in Oxford, received not only a tree but also an outdoor bench from their local store. This bench will offer a comfortable place for Lymphoedema patients to rest while they wait to be welcomed into the hospice.
Other organisations benefiting from the festive tree donations include the Pastoral Team at Watford General Hospital and Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice. These donations help spread the festive cheer to their spaces, bringing the Christmas spirit to their patients who need it most during this special time of year.
The faux Christmas trees were generously provided by Norfolk Leisure's new BOSK range. Renowned for their natural touch tips and timeless elegance, they create a stunning, durable centrepiece for festive decorations, adding a touch of holiday magic to these community spaces.

Hannah Randle Hockin, Wickes Community Engagement Manager said "We're excited to partner with Norfolk Leisure on this fantastic initiative. At Wickes, we're committed to making a positive impact on our communities. These Christmas trees are a simple way to spread joy in our local communities."
Kelly Burgess, Norfolk Leisure Chief Sales Officer said “Being able to bring happiness to communities where it makes a difference is important, particularly at this time of year. The BOSK Trees and donations will have made a positive impact and spread Christmas cheer by lighting up someone’s day. We are delighted to partner with Wickes on this initiative and know that collaboratively we will have made a difference.”
Becca Thomson, Sobell House Hospice Charity Trust Fundraiser said “As you can imagine, for many in the hospice over Christmas it can be a difficult and emotional time, as well as a time of great celebration, so having a sparkling tree really adds joy to the season.”
Emily Theobald, West Herts Hospitals Charity Senior Fundraising Officer said ‘We were delighted to receive the Christmas Tree from Wickes and Norfolk Leisure, which follows Wickes’ fabulous support for our Wellbeing Garden appeal earlier in the year. We’re so pleased our Pastoral Team will be able to enjoy and share the Christmas Tree this year, and for years to come.’
