Véronique Laury & John Olie Join Inter IKEA Group Supervisory Board
Véronique Laury and John Olie will become members of the Inter IKEA Holding B.V. Supervisory Board. Véronique’s appointment begins 1 March, and John’s appointment begins 1 June.
During 20 years, Véronique built her career at Kingfisher Plc. – an international home improvement company with more than 1,380 stores in eight countries across Europe. Kingfisher operates under several brands such as B&Q, Castorama, Brico Dépôt and more. There Véronique held several leadership roles, including Trading Director for B&Q UK & Ireland, CEO for Castorama France and – most recently – Group CEO between 2014 and 2019. Today Véronique lives in Le Touquet, France, and she is founder and CEO of WEEEE strategy and coaching.
John has more than 30 years of IKEA experience. During that time he held several store management functions before becoming retail manager for IKEA Norway in 1999 and Deputy Retail Manager for IKEA UK in 2002. Later he was a Retail HR Manager at Ingka Group before becoming VAPS Store Manager at IKEA Milton Keynes, UK from 2014-2020. John retired from IKEA UK at the end of January. His last assignment was developing, mentoring and coaching future leaders at IKEA UK and Ireland. He lives in the UK.
