UK Flooring Direct Creates 60 New Jobs

UK Flooring Direct has confirmed plans to employ 60 new members of staff in IT, marketing, sales and warehousing positions over the next few years.

The company, based in Hinckley, Leicestershire, has also exceeded 100 employees for the first time.

Recent recruits include trade account manager, Jordan Simpson; head of category, Luke Scott; samples fulfilment manager, Peter Bradley; and samples consultant, Sarah Genner.

Jason Ashby, co-founder and managing director, told Insider Media: "We are delighted to reach the 100 staff mark and credit must go to Faye [Summers - head of HR and people development] who has hit the ground running in managing our recruitment as well as the training and development of the staff who were already here.

"The company has big plans for growth and we can only do that by attracting the right people who want to be part of this exciting time for the business.

"It’s important to us that we play a positive role in this area and employing as many local people as possible means a lot to the way we want the business to operate and is good for the regional economy.

"On top of that, we work hard to make this a great environment to work in, we give people opportunities to progress and, also, we look to support the local community wherever we can, especially when our staff are close to a certain project or cause.

"What’s even more exciting is that there is much more to come as we are still recruiting to continue the expansion of the business."
