Travis Perkins To Relocate Reading Woodley Branch

Travis Perkins, the UK’s largest supplier of building materials to the building and construction industry, is set to relocate from the existing site at Church Road to a more prominent and visible location at Headley Park East. The new branch is set to open its doors on Monday, 19^th July.

As part of the relocation, Travis Perkins has recruited four brand new part-time and full-time colleagues,  in addition to transferring the existing 12 strong team to the new site.

The last remaining vacancy is for a dedicated skilled plumbing and heating expert to manage its new plumbing and heating showroom.

The new site has easier access for customers and is bigger than before at 1.2 acres and occupies the same space as almost 15 tennis courts.

It will feature a new plumbing and heating showroom and a tools and plant hire section which includes diggers and dumpers. Boasting over 25,000 products in stock, it offers a fast and convenient one hour click and collect service and next day delivery.

Branch manager Samantha Nice said “We can’t wait to open the doors of our bigger, brand new branch at Reading Woodley. We’ve recruited an extra four colleagues to join our fantastic team of 12.  The boom in the construction sector makes this an exciting time to be joining Travis Perkins and we’ll be investing in training for these new colleagues, which means that we’ll be able to continue to provide expert knowledge and advice across extended opening hours to the local community when the site opens in July.”

The branch will offer its full range of Bricks, Lintels, Drainage, Carcassing and Tool Hire and customers can choose to shop online, in branch or by using the new Travis Perkins app. The industry-first app has been designed in conjunction with customers to help them save time and work smarter by managing their account on the go. Customers can shop online and easily manage their trade account, wherever they are.

Travis Perkins Reading Woodley will be located at Unit C, Headley Park 8, Headley Park East, Woodley RG5 4SW and will open from July 19^th.
