  • Travis Perkins branch relocates to Burnt Ash Hill in Lee Green
  • Relocation has created four extra jobs and is 1.3 acres in size

Travis Perkins, the UK’s largest supplier of building materials to the building and construction industry, will relocate its Lee Green branch from Burnt Ash Works to Burnt Ash Hill, which is just 0.2 miles away. The new branch is set to open its doors on the 24th June and will offer a new, bigger and purpose-built destination, with more space to provide a larger product range for customers.

The existing team will expand to the new site, and Travis Perkins has recruited an extra four staff for full-time positions, making a total team of 20.  The new branch is 1.3 acres in size, and it will include a Benchmarx Kitchens showroom to help customers plan their next kitchen or joinery project.

With sustainability in mind, the site will include electric forklift trucks, e-charging points and solar panels to minimise operating emissions.

Other popular services available at the new site will include an estimating service and a paint mixing service.

Branch manager Robert Pizzy says: “We’ve been serving the local community of tradespeople and builders in South East London for over 25 years and we can’t wait to open our bigger and better site to offer them an even greater service and range of products. We have a great team in place and are ready to serve as a one-stop shop for everyone’s building and construction needs. As well as the 25,000 products available in stock or to order online, we’re pleased to be showcasing our Benchmarx kitchen showroom.”

Customers will also benefit from greater choice when it comes to trading through the branch, online or by using the industry-leading Travis Perkins App. The App has been collaboratively developed with customers to help them not only work smarter but also save time by allowing them to check stock on the go from their local branch and order instantly with their trade prices.

Alternatively, customers can also use the fast and convenient one-hour Click & Collect service, or next-day delivery as well as a Branch Delivery Tracking Service, which gives them the best possible delivery notifications in real-time without having to make a phone call.

These innovative ways to trade are designed to save customers time - something which is reported as their biggest pain-point. Combined, these provide a one-stop personalized experience, whether on the move, on-site or in-branch - whenever and wherever they need it.

Travis Perkins Lee Green will be located at Travis Perkins, Burnt Ash Hill, Lee Green, London SE12 0JE and is open from 7am-5pm on weekdays, and open from 8am-12pm on Saturday.
