Travis Perkins Managed Services Launches TPgo Platform
Travis Perkins Managed Services, the UK’s leading supply chain and procurement solutions partner to the repairs and maintenance sector, has launched TPgo, an innovative and practical piece of software designed to aid transparency, improve efficiencies and save money for social housing providers and their contractors.
TPgo is a web-based ‘Software as Service’ (SaaS) solution targeted at customers whose goal is to help increase the First Time Fix Rate for social housing providers and give contractors greater visibility of inventory and lead times when ordering products.
TPgo includes TPgo Order, TPgo Data and TPgo Self-Serve, which are all designed to arm housing providers with the information they want for the products they need.
The benefits of TPgo Order include:
- Increased visibility of product catalogue, stock and orders
- Greater efficiencies for suppliers scheduling repairs and maintenance works
- Ability to track which contractor has ordered what, its availability and current order status
- Reduction in invoice queries
- Reduced mileage and fewer wasted trips to branches
This real time knowledge affords contractors and providers greater efficiencies and transparency on timelines and budgets. Safety also features highly with the software. With TPgo Order, the contractor can see the most up-to-date COSHH, or technical data associated with the product, providing knowledge and reassurance of how to use the products safely.
TPgo Data is designed to give the customer in-depth knowledge that will aid future purchasing decisions by providing a comprehensive overview of purchasing behaviour. It’s an intuitive and live reporting system that gives customers greater visibility of data and analytics. It means that they can view information on everything from yearly and monthly spend, product usage, stock availability and spend on CSA%.
Not all housing stock is close to a Travis Perkins branch and so TPgo SelfServe is designed to help customers with geographically diverse housing stock. TPgo SelfServe is essentially an unmanned store that will allow operatives access to materials in a convenient location. Using a smart panel and RFID technology, we can convert a shipping container into an automated, smart unmanned store. Operatives are issued with an ID fob (with a unique number) that allows them to access the container. The system helps social housing providers, and their contractors lower their carbon footprint and increase efficiencies by reducing miles travelled to traditional branches.
Maria Walding, Head of Operational fulfilment from Travis Perkins Managed Services said: “With a relatively newly installed Government we expect to see more social housing stock. Doing this efficiently and safely, will save time and money which are key benefits of our TPgo platform. We’re confident that providers using TPgo will be able to complete more jobs in one day than they’ve ever done before – that’s a win for everyone.”
