Travis Perkins loses marketing manager, Helen Cooper, to Selco

Travis Perkins marketing manager Helen Cooper has been appointed as head of marketing at Selco Builder’s Warehouse.

Cooper has spent almost seven years as marketing manager for Travis Perkins, but will now be responsible for leading the customer retention and growth strategy, as well as supporting the expansion of Selco’s network.

She will report directly to managing director Chris Cunliffe, based at Selco’s head office in Birmingham.

Cooper said: "This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company and I'm looking forward to playing my role in shaping the future of Selco Builders Warehouse. As a vibrant and forward thinking merchant Selco has already experienced rapid growth in recent years and has a solid foundation to continue to build on this".

Having an experienced and capable professional at the head of our marketing team is vital to the continued growth of Selco and will help maintain the growth experienced to date in a very tough market."

Before joining Travis Perkins, Helen held positions at Focus DIY as well as working at the British Standards Institution, a timber treatment company, and in local government.
