Travis Perkins Appoints COO For Trade Merchant Business
Frank Elkins has been appointed to the role of chief operating officer for Travis Perkins' trade merchanting business which includes the BSS, Benchmarx, CCF and Keyline brands.
He will report to chief executive John Carter, who said:
“Frank has been instrumental in laying the foundations for our new structure, and has a clear vision, the energy and commitment to developing our trade merchanting organisation. He has he been in merchanting for over 30 years, eight of these with us. As divisional chief executive for our contract merchanting division, when he was responsible for the leadership and strategy development of our Keyline, BSS and CCF businesses, he succeeded in growing sales and profits by nearly 50% over a five-year period. This is a fantastic track record.”
Frank joined the Group in 2003 as Commercial Director in BSS Industrial before becoming Managing Director for BSS Industrial in 2005. He became Divisional CEO of the Contract Merchanting Division in 2013, when he became responsible for the leadership and strategy development of our Keyline, BSS Group and CCF businesses, and succeeded in boosting sales and profits by nearly 50% over a five-year period.
Frank has been in Merchanting for over 30 years, and previously held a number of Directorship positions at Hagemeyer UK, formerly Newey and Eyre, in Sales, Service and Operations.
