Totally DIY & Tools is back!

Totally DIY & Tools Logo

Making a welcome return to the Ricoh Arena between 14-15 February 2017, the Totally DIY & Tools Exhibition is the leading event in the Home Improvement calendar and the only one in the sector exclusively for DIY retailer buyers and merchants.

Unlike other shows, where visitors include trades people and general DIY consumers, Totally DIY & Tools is targeted specifically at Home Improvement retailers and merchants, giving them a place to network, do business and see the very latest innovative products, all under one roof.

For exhibitors, this means easy access to key buyers from across the industry. The 2016 show included multiple visitors from companies including Aldi, B&Q, B&M, Decco, Homebase, Stax, Tesco, The Range, Toolbank, Trago Mills, Travis Perkins, Wickes, Wilko and hundreds of independents.

Totally DIY & Tools has been a staple of the industry for 23 years, growing during that period to become the most important trade show for suppliers and retailers. Exhibitors already signed up for 2017 include leading brands and manufacturers Draper Tools, Gorilla Glue, SMJ UK, Pyro Marking Ltd, Ultratape and Bond-It, as well as many others.

Innovation

The exhibition places innovation and new product development at its very heart, giving buyers the chance to see all the very latest products under one roof.

Since its inception, the exhibition has been the launch pad for emerging companies looking to promote their brands and products, at the same time enabling visitors to get an early look at products they may want to stock ahead of their competitors.

Chris Bartlett, commercial marketing manager for Draper Tools, explained “Totally Tools continues to provide an opportunity to generate new business. It’s a great vehicle for launching new products and always returns our investment in the show with orders. It’s a fixture in our promotional calendar not to be missed.”

Martin Elliot, Chief Executive of Home Hardware, who will be returning as a partner for 2017, says ‘Home Hardware are delighted to be exhibiting at the 2017 Totally Show. It is always a good show for us and enables us to meet several potential retail members as well as several of our existing members. It is also an ideal opportunity for our buyers to source new products on behalf of our retailers as well as looking for new suppliers. The Totally Show is always one of our first dates in the diary.’

The ‘New Product Innovation Zone’ gives visitors and exhibitors alike, the chance to see the latest developments from across the sector, acting as a showcase for new ideas that are not yet available in the UK market.

Every exhibitor can enter up to three products into the zone, with a coveted award for ‘2017 Best New Product’ presented during the show and voted for by the show visitors. In previous years, this accolade has been won by AW Tools Europe, Rolson Tools, Chemfix, Darlac and the 2016 winner was Tite-Fix, who are returning for the 2017 show.

Holly Wilkinson, Strategist at Tite-Fix says,  “It’s always nice to discuss our products directly with the user and get honest feedback. This year was our first time at Totally DIY, and we’re looking forward to what next year’s show will bring. The variety of different visitors at the show, from retailers, wholesalers and designers/innovators was a fantastic way of speaking to several types of customers all under one roof”.

The Innovation Zone is sponsored by the British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA), which has worked closely with Totally DIY & Tools for many years. For 2017 Totally Tools will also present the BHETA Start up Zone – a bespoke area for smaller start-up companies who are looking to break into the UK market.

The Seminar Theatre will also give exhibitors and visitors the chance to hear key industry figures talk about the latest market trends and new product launches. Steve Collinge will once again be presenting at the show and in 2017 his seminar will examine how key retail trends and digital innovation continues to shape the future of the Home Improvement Industry.

Central Location

The show’s central location in Coventry makes it accessible to buyers from across the UK. Visitors in previous years have invested their time and travelled from as far a-field as Scotland, London, Wales and the South West – proving just how beneficial visiting the exhibition is to a retailers business.
