Toolstation will continue its sponsorship of talkSPORT podcast ‘The Men’s Room’ which returns for another season, featuring new hosts former England international Neil Ruddock and entrepreneur and TV personality Thomas Skinner, with the first episode airing on Saturday 24th February.

The podcast first aired in 2022 and was launched to help give men a space to talk about the things that affect them by chatting about issues openly, such as toxic masculinity, mental health, sexuality and more. Toolstation’s sponsorship began in May 2023, and will continue to encourage tradespeople and DIYers to be more open about issues affecting them during the new season.

The news comes as research from Toolstation found that 69% of tradespeople believe looking after your mental health is very important, yet 33% believe there is not enough support available. The research also found that 56% felt there could be more honest conversations around mental health*.

New episodes will air every Saturday, and will focus on different topics including weight loss, Tourette’s, prison life and more.

Throughout the season, both Thomas and Neil will invite guests onto the show to discuss their careers and issues they have faced, with stars including TV personality James ‘Arg’ Argent, competitive eater Adam Moran from ‘Beard Meets Food’, and Josh Hughes, also known as ‘The Tourette’s Barber.’

Chris Other, Customer Director for Toolstation said: “We’re excited to be renewing our sponsorship of ‘The Men’s Room’ and in both Thomas and Neil we have two great hosts that will provide listeners with valuable advice and insight each week. At Toolstation we have a long heritage of helping to equip tradespeople with the tools they need to look after their mental health and wellbeing, so we’re looking forward to tuning in and we are glad that we can continue our support.”

The podcast will be available to listen to on AcastApple and Spotify.
