Tile Giant management changes

Documents filed at Companies House have confirmed several recent changes to the management structure at Travis Perkins-owned Tile Giant, including the official departure of directors Mohammed (Mo) Iqbal (5th April 2013) and Paul Hampden Smith (20th March 2013).

According to recent Travis Perkins publications, Mo Iqbal left the Group on 31st December 2012, having been brought on board to oversee the integration and expansion of the Tile Giant business at the time of its acquisition in 2007.

Iqbal acquired two-store Tile Giant in 2004, building it into a 29-strong chain, selling it to Travis Perkins for £12 million in November 2007.
John Carter, Deputy CEO of Travis Perkins said: “Mo brought great expertise and knowledge to the Group and has had a huge influence in the success of our tile business. We wish him well in his new endeavours.”

The documents also show the appointment of five existing Travis Perkins directors to the Tile Giant board: Anthony (Tony) Buffin, Carol Kavanagh and Jean-Jacques Michel Van Oosten (1st May 2013); Norman Bell (23rd April 2013) and Robin Proctor (5th April 2013).
