The Range to Open New Store in Alfreton
The Range is to open a new superstore in the Derbyshire village of Somercotes near Alfreton this autumn, creating a total of 80 new job for the area.
Once open, it will stock more than 80,000 products and be home to a café and an outdoor garden centre.
With an opening date set for Friday, November 15, work is underway to build the store in Nottingham Road.
Looking ahead to the opening, Chris Dawson, founder of The Range, said: "Opening a new store is always an exciting moment for the company and the Somercotes superstore is no exception.
“The job provision that comes with the new store should be a great boost to the local area. We hope that the people of Somercotes, and the surrounding areas, will be delighted with this news."
The store will also offer an Iceland food section, a large furniture department, and be open in time to stock its Christmas selection, including trees, lights, and decorations.
Among the 80 jobs available will be positions ranging from store and department managers to warehouse assistants and retail administrators.
