The Range To Open In Former Belfast B&Q Store
The Range has confirmed its intention to open a new store in Northern Ireland later this month, creating 80 jobs for local people.
The conversion of a former 65,000 sq ft B&Q store in Boucher Road, Banbridge, is underway, ahead of the opening on October 16th.
The retail chain currently operates five stores in Northern Ireland and is planning for a further three in addition to the Banbridge store, in South Belfast, County Fermanagh and County Down. Should planning permission be granted, The Range is set to be the anchor tenant on a new retail and leisure park located less than a mile from the centre of Enniskillen, in County Fermanagh.
The most recent store opening was Glengormley, which created around 80 jobs when it opened in April last year.
A spokesperson for The Range told local press: "We are exploring other sites in Northern Ireland and hope to open a few more within the next few years."
