The Range To Open In Durham Next Week
A brand-new, purpose-built branch of The Range is to open in Durham, next week.
The store is located on Dragon Lane in Gilesgate and will open on Friday, November 22nd November.
Around 80 full- and part-time jobs have been created at the store which will be open from 9am to 8pm, Monday to Saturday, and 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sundays.
The store has a cafe and garden centre as well as an Iceland frozen food concession.
To celebrate the opening there will be a selection of launch offers and demonstrations and the first 50 people in the queue will receive a free gift.
A Lidl store has also been built on the site, and several other retailers operate in the area, including Aldi, Argos, B&Q, Matalan and Screwfix, among others.
Chris Dawson, founder and owner of The Range, said: “Each store plays an important part in the success of our company and Durham is no exception.
“This store is a new build site so has been on the radar for some time.
“We are delighted to be bringing a new national retailer to the town and expect to provide many benefits to the local economy with our arrival.
“We are very lucky with the staff we have and I look forward to welcoming the new team members to the company. I would like to invite the local community to join us for the opening in Durham next week and discover the fantastic selection of products that we offer.”
