STARK Group Awarded Platinum EcoVadis Rating

The platinum rating from EcoVadis is not just a recognition, it serves as a catalyst for STARK Group's work to commercialise sustainability. It reinforces the company’s strong ESG standards and transparent business practices, establishing a solid foundation for making sustainability commercially viable in the marketplace, benefiting tradespeople and advancing a net-zero future.
The rating supports its efforts to commercialise sustainability through initiatives such as providing carbon data on products, expanding third-party eco-labelled and energy-efficient offerings, and enhancing sustainability services, including advisory support, documentation, and carbon-efficient distribution.
STARK Group's continuous improvement within its sustainability practices is evident in its rising EcoVadis score, which has increased from 78 to 93 points out of 100 since first achieving the top percentile position in 2021.
Group CEO Søren P. Olesen says:
“We are proud to receive the EcoVadis platinum rating once again. This achievement underscores our dedication to integrating sustainability into our strategy and key processes, ensuring we remain relevant to our customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.”
"We bear a responsibility to our customers, owners, investors, and partners not just to uphold our sustainability commitments but also to conduct consistent and transparent assessments of our performance. The EcoVadis platinum rating serves as a reliable, global benchmark for our performance, offering independent validation that sustainability is an inherent and integral aspect of our business operations," says Søren P. Olesen.
The EcoVadis assessment evaluates 21 sustainability criteria across four core themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. The assessment process is designed to improve transparency and promote continuous improvement in sustainability within the supply chain, enabling customers to monitor performance and identify high-performing partners.
EcoVadis’ business sustainability ratings are based on international sustainability standards such as the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, the International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, and the ISO 26000 standard. These ratings provide an evidence-based analysis of performance and an actionable roadmap for continuous improvement.
