Selco opens 62nd branch
Selco Builders Warehouse has opened its 62nd store, located on Roundhay Road in Leeds. The chain already has a store on Elland Road in Leeds, as well as stores in Bradford and York.
The new store offers trade services, Selco Hire and an in-store café.
In keeping with tradition, Selco donated £1,000 each to three charities working in the city and surrounding areas: The Homeless Beginnings Group, Macmillan Cancer Support and Global’s Make Some Noise campaign.
Store manager, Chris Aspital, said: “It’s great to be able to further strengthen our presence in the region and open our second branch in Leeds.
“We feel it’s really important to support charities and good causes in the communities in which we operate. It’s a big part of our ethos as a company and we hope the funding will make a real difference to our three worthy causes.”
Howard Luft, Selco’s chief executive, said: “We are delighted to have strengthened our presence in Yorkshire by cutting the ribbon on our second branch in Leeds.
“We pride ourselves on being able to provide comprehensive coverage nationwide and we are bringing Selco’s unique offering to as many tradespeople as possible.
“We are a one-stop shop for the trade and always put our customers first. As a genuine multi-channel builders merchant we want to give them the chance to get their building materials in the most convenient way possible to them.”
Selco will open its 63rd store, in St Albans, later this month.
