Second DIY Express opens in Hayes, Middlesex
Screwfix officially opened a second branch of DIY Express in Hayes, Middlesex on Saturday (31st March), just a week after opening the first store in the chain in Shepton Mallet.
The business is marketing itself as ‘the local DIY store’, offering a range of over 5,000 products for immediate purchase. Customers may also order from an extended selection of product lines from Screwfix, with the option to use the ‘Click, Collect & Go’ service.
With its own ‘how-to’ video channel and a comprehensive catalogue listing, segmented by activity – Decorating; Tools; Bathrooms & Kitchen; Home Electrical; Heating & Plumbing; Garden & Outdoor; Fixtures & Fittings – the DIY Express website (www.diyexpress.com) has clearly seen considerable investment from ultimate parent Kingfisher.
Each online catalogue contains hints, tips and guides for the task in hand. For the technology savvy, QR codes have been employed throughout the catalogues to ensure that users can quickly and easily access the ‘how-to’ guides from their smartphones, without having to move away from their DIY project.
