Screwfix to open new store in Filton

Screwfix is opening a new store in South Gloucestershire, on Station Road in the town of Filton.

Sixteen new jobs have been created at the store, which opens on Thursday 23rd February.

Store manager, Nic Blake, said: “Our new team includes people of all ages and levels of experience, but the most important requirement is that they have the right attitude and can offer superb customer service. Everyone here is really looking forward to the store opening.

“My team and I have already been out and about getting to know local businesses and tradesmen and we’ve been really pleased with how supportive everybody has been.”

Customers shopping at the store will receive a 10% discount from the opening day until Sunday 26th February. Customers will be able to observe product demonstrations and take part in a free football competition to win a 40-inch smart TV.
