Rixonway Kitchens makes six figure investment
Rixonway Kitchens has opened a new distribution centre in Milton Keynes, and invested in equipment and IT systems after securing a number of contracts in London.
The West Yorkshire-based kitchen manufacturer said it is producing 18,000 kitchens units a week, which it said are 'being fitted in homes across London at the rate of one an hour'.
It has invested £300k in machinery for its automated assembly lines, which it said would help it to 'meet anticipated volume growth for the year, in addition to increasing efficiency and managing stock levels'.
To boost communication with customers, the company is also set to implement a £60k CRM system management tool in August to help it deal with the 175,000 emails and 95,000 calls it receives each year.
Chief executive Paul Rose, pictured, said the system was “essential” to the company's growth. He added that “the investment in production capacity will ensure we can continue to meet customer demands”.
“We’ve had a fantastic period of growth so far this year, winning several new contracts in the capital. However, it is important that we invest across the business to ensure we can continue to maintain our high levels of customer satisfaction,” he said.
