Report Reveals SCS As UKs Most Prominent Flooring Brand Of 2023
According to the latest annual report on the flooring sector, SCS is the UK’s most prominent flooring brand of 2023.
The report, conducted by Salience Search Marketing, analysed 11 crucial performance indicators, including year-on-year visibility, search volume trends, and brand awareness, for flooring brands to reveal the names dominating the industry.
UK’s Top 5 Prominent Flooring Brands
Through analysing the number of monthly searches for each brand and calculating an owned social score which combines the number of followers and engagement rate across major social platforms for each brand, the report unveils the most prominent flooring brands in the sector.

The findings reveal SCS is the most prominent brand in the industry. With over 201,000 brand searches per month and an owned social score of 223, SCS is the market leader when it comes to brand awareness within the flooring sector.
Topps Tiles follows as the second most prominent brand in the sector with over 111,675 social media followers and an owned social score of 136.
Regarding organic visibility, there has been a 5% decrease in overall organic growth within the industry, demonstrating how the cost of living crisis is impacting the sector.

The flooring report also uncovers emerging brands and industry trends based on keyword trends.

Flooringuk.com takes the crown to top the emerging brands of 2023 with over 43,000 brand searches per month, a 14% increase in interest for the brand.
Flooring Industry Trends
‘Rubber Floor Tiles’ has seen the biggest increase in searches with an increase of 174% in searches for the term.
In contrast, garage floor tiles have seen the biggest decline in searches with a drop of 44% in interest for the product.
Brett Janes, managing director at Salience Search Marketing, said: “The cost of living crisis has brought about substantial changes in the consumer landscape, which has ultimately impacted the flooring industry with the sector seeing a 5% decrease in online visibility.
“As the new year kicks off, businesses within the flooring sector must concentrate on their online strategy and amplify their presence on social media to gain prominence in the year ahead.
“The findings from our annual flooring report underscore the pivotal role of a strong online presence, with SCS's success serving as a guiding example.
