Poundland Issues Wilko Store Update

Poundland has issued the following update on Wilko stores:

On Saturday morning we open 10 former Wilko stores as Poundlands.

Those new stores can be found in Stafford, Nelson, Barking, Stockport, Eccles, Leigh, Southport, Maidenhead, Jarrow and Scunthorpe.

Of course we’re not yet in a position to offer our fullest ranges in these stores, but we’ve moved quickly to get them open.

That’s because we know customers and communities will appreciate a store that’s open, trading and employing local people, to one that’s got the lights off and its shutters down.

We’d encourage customers old and new to come and say hello to their new Poundland team from this coming Saturday.

We’re already recruiting a number of former Wilko colleagues to help us open these stores. We’re prioritising them for these roles and we’re still encouraging applications for these or other locations. You can apply here:
