Painting and Decorating Association launches trade exhibition
Building professionals are being invited to the first trade fair organised by the Painting and Decorating Association (PDA).
More than 20 firms will be on hand at the Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel to offer advice and showcase the latest products, services and techniques.
Neil Ogilvie, chief executive of the PDA, said: “This is the first time we have put on a trade show to run alongside our national conference, so we are very excited about it.
“The companies we have exhibiting are experts in their fields and they will have a wealth of good advice for builders, decorators and merchants – in fact for anyone connected to the trade.”
Crown Paints is offering free colour consultancy on the day, Toupret has a Champagne giveaway and other attractions include a caricature artist and the chance to win an iPod Touch.
Mr Ogilvie added: “I would encourage anyone interested to come along – it’s free entry and anyone in the industry is sure to get a lot out of it.”
Proceeds from the not-for-profit fair are going to the Pathway to Construction programme, which funds work placements for young construction students.
The PDA Trade Exhibition will be opened by the Lord Mayor of Bristol, councillor Geoffrey Gollop, at 12pm on Friday, October 28.
It takes place in the Kings Lounge at the Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel, College Green, Bristol, and entry is free.
Doors are open from 12pm to 5pm on Friday, October 28, and from 9am until 12.30pm on Saturday, October 29.
