New DIY store to open in Ross on Wye
A NEW DIY store is to open in Ross-on-Wye.
Baileys DIY will open at the former Focus DIY site on Thursday (August 1), with 20 jobs being created.
The move has come about after Labels Outlet Shopping completed its purchase of the building.
“Baileys has enjoyed a very successful trading partnership within Labels Outlet Shopping since the beginning of this year," said Ian Bailey, director of Baileys DIY.
“Moving next door into our own stand alone store will give us considerably more space to offer a much wider, more comprehensive line-up of products for both trade and DIY customers, which is great news for us, for Labels and most importantly, for our visitors."
Angie Ellis, chief executive officer of Labels Outlet Shopping, said that she wants to develop Ross Park as a true destination in its own right and enhance its position as a regional attraction.
Baileys DIY will include a new paint and decorating centre, extensive DIY and home improvements, pet care and pet food.
Relaxation of the planning conditions that govern what can actually be sold in the building is in discussion in order to facilitate a sustainable and long term viable future for the development.
Labels and Baileys will work in partnership to promote the Ross Park site that is home to both businesses, as an attractive, highly convenient shopping destination for visitors to the area.
