New CEO For Cox & Cox
Richard Bell has been promoted to the role of CEO at online interiors retailer, Cox & Cox.
He previously held the position of chief operating officer at the company, having joined Cox & Cox in 2018.
Prior to joining the business, Richard worked as a marketing director for retailers inclusing Boden and Charles Tyrwhitt, and in a commercial director role for Steamer Trading.
Richard Bell said: “Cox & Cox is at a very exciting stage of its journey, and I am extremely proud to be a part of it. So much good work has been done in the past two years, laying down a foundation for profitable growth, and ensuring that we build on this momentum.”
Cox & Cox was launched in 2001 after founder, Fiona Cox, found herself inundated with enquiries for a wall decoration she had made as a stylist and presenter on the BBC’s home makeover series Home Front.
Growth of 13% was reported for the 2017-2018 trading period, and current growth is understood to be in the region of 35%, with a 'sharp increase in profitability' resulting from a focus on customer metrics and new range launches.
Recent range launches include hardware and pet products, along with a custom upholstery offer. The retailer is to launch its own brand of paint next year.
